What is Offset & Digital Printing:
Printing is consisting of a process in which visualization comes into a product. Printing itself is not a single process in which printers or offset machines prints the paper, plastic and other products. It’s a complete process starting from pre-press, press and then post press. If we talk particularly regarding paper printing than we first have to go through pre-press which consist of designing according to printing methods. After that we get through main press procedure consist of offset printing, digital printing, screen printing and etc. Last procedure is post press which consist of finishing process.
PRE PRESS:
Pre-press consist of designing, film processing and plate making. In designing we use different soft wares like free hand, CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc. In Pakistan we use these soft wares. After designing according to printing process we forward this for film processing or plate making. It is very important in printing which is consist of four colors through which we can make any color which is CMYK, C stands for CYAN, M stands for MAGENTA, Y stands for YELLOW and K stands for BLACK. All the percentages of these colors are set in a pre-press process. Now a days in modern printing direct platemaking is introduce in Pakistan specially getting very common in Karachi.
PRESS:
Press procedure is the main and most important procedure of printing. In this procedure we use different machines for printing. When we particularly talk about offset printing which the most common procedure of printing we have got different machines in it staring from single color to 8 color printing. In modern printing world digital printing is getting day by day common in Asian regions specially in Pakistan and cities like Karachi. But still offset printing is most affordable process in printing. Screen printing is also a part of printing procedure done manually.
POST PRESS:
Post Press is a procedure in which we finish the product in final form like binding, lamination, cutting, pasting and different procedures. Post press is also one of the most important procedure of printing process.
